1. Service Description

RefRoute ("the Service") is a web application that helps sports officials and referees optimize their game schedules by connecting to third-party scheduling platforms, importing game data, and calculating optimal routes to maximize earnings per mile. RefRoute is operated by RefRoute ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Account Authorization

By connecting your scheduling platform accounts (such as HorizonWebRef or OSSRC) to RefRoute, you explicitly authorize us to:

  • Access your scheduling platform accounts using the credentials you provide.
  • Import game schedules, assignments, pay rates, and related data from those platforms.
  • Store your credentials in encrypted form for the purpose of periodic data synchronization.

You may revoke this authorization at any time by disconnecting the platform from your RefRoute settings. Upon disconnection, your stored credentials for that platform are immediately deleted.

3. No Guarantee

RefRoute provides route optimization and game ranking as informational tools only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of route calculations, pay estimates, travel times, or scheduling data. RefRoute is not responsible for missed games, scheduling conflicts, late arrivals, lost income, or any other consequences arising from reliance on the Service. You are solely responsible for verifying your schedule and arriving at your assignments on time.

4. No Affiliation

RefRoute is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by HorizonWebRef, OSSRC, or any sports officiating assigning authority, league, or governing body. All product names, logos, and trademarks referenced within the Service belong to their respective owners.

5. Payment and Pricing

  • RefRoute offers a 1-week free trial for new users.
  • After the trial period, continued access requires a one-time payment of $20, processed securely through Stripe.
  • Payments are generally non-refundable. However, we may offer refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing for future users. Any price changes will not affect users who have already paid.

6. Acceptable Use

By using RefRoute, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Share your RefRoute account with others or allow unauthorized access to your account.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service beyond its intended functionality.
  • Provide credentials for scheduling accounts that you do not own or are not authorized to use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RefRoute and its owners, operators, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to RefRoute in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in the State of Ohio. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action lawsuit. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users of the Service, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data following termination in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RefRoute after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
